Un grand homme de la céramique québécoise est disparu!
Né en 1930 Maurice Savoie est décédé ce mercredi 20 février 2013. Céramiste, sculpteur, designer de renom, son influence déborde le monde québécois de la céramique.
Il serait intéressant qu’au Québec on puisse honorer nos grands maîtres de la céramique comme on le fait au Japon. En effet, Maurice Savoie pourrait être considéré comme un de nos Trésors nationaux. Il a été de cette trempe et Sylvie Royer qui fut directrice de Materia écrivait à juste titre : « Ils ne sont pas si nombreux au Québec les céramistes de l’envergure créatrice et du souffle novateur de Maurice Savoie ». J’aimerais être aussi habile à manier les mots qu’un Claude Jasmin qui clamait qu’avec Maurice Savoie, la terre a de l’esprit.
Il a fait école et a su se renouveler : il n’y a qu’à considérer ses pièces ludiques produites en 2007, ses chariots, qui ne ressemblent en rien aux pièces dessinées pour Sial II vers 1974. Par son implication dans le milieu culturel et de l‘enseignement, il a marqué plusieurs générations d’artisans. Élu à l’Académie royale du Canada et fait membre de l’Ordre du Canada en 1994, il sera lauréat en 2004 du prestigieux prix Paul-Émile Borduas, la plus haute distinction du Québec dans le domaine des arts visuels et du prix Saidye-Bronfman d’excellence en métiers d’art.
Il a fait sa marque dans l’histoire des métiers d’art au Québec pas étonnant qu’en 2010 il était honoré au Salon des Métiers d’art par le Prix Hommage à une carrière en métiers d’art. Il a su intégrer l’art à l’architecture : une ballade à la Station de métro McGill, à la Maison Radio-Canada ou à l’Université Sherbrooke, son lieu d’origine, vous permettront d’admirer ses murales.
Je suis très fière de l’avoir connue et d’avoir pu faire partie de ceux qu’on appelle ses amis, très fière aussi qu’il m’ait fait confiance pour me demander, l’automne passé, de lui faire une série de photos de ses pièces.
À quand une reconnaissance officielle de cet éminent citoyen de la Ville de Longueuil pour renommer sa rue Île de France, en avenue Maurice-Savoie?

Так, в популярном бенчмарке Antutu платформа NVIDIA Tegra 4 смогла набрать 36127 баллов, тогда как HTC One X с Tegra 3 продемонстрировал результат в три раза меньший – 11290 баллов, а HTC One X+ Tegra 3 (1,7 ГГц) – 13868 баллов. Кроме этого сайт Androidpolice уже успел протестировать свежий флагман HTC One, где в качестве основы задействован чипсет Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 – результат в 22678 баллов хорош, но все равно далек от показателя Tegra 4.
Популярный web-бенчмарк Sunspider 0.9.1 референсный планшет на базе новой платформы от NVIDIA проходит с результатом 506 мс. Для сравнения тот же тест для аппаратов HTC One X+ (Tegra 3 1,7 ГГц), iPhone 5 и HTC One X (Tegra 3) фиксирует итоговые 1220, 980 и 1705 мс соответственно. А HTC One на Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 оказался чуть быстрее HTC One X+ – его результат 1124 мс. Как вы уже догадались, в этом бенчмарке меньший показатель является лучшем, а компания Sun с его помощью позволяет оценить среднее время загрузки вебсайтов.
Мобильный процессор нового поколения Tegra 4 от NVIDIA, который был представлен почти два месяца назад, наконец-то получил первые результаты бенчмарков.
Наши коллеги с The Verge запустили три самых популярных теста производительности. Бенчмарки проводили на опытной платформе Android 4.2, в результате была раскрыта вся мощь четырёх ядер Cortex-A15 с 72 ядрами GPU.
И так, тест AnTuTu показал подозрительный результат более 36000 баллов, Quadrant 2.0 пересёк отметку в 16000, а GLBenchmark Egypt при разрешении 1080p в среднем показал 57 к/с. И хотя это всё синтетические тесты, и результаты в реальных приложениях могут несколько отличаться, всё же цифры говорят о том, что новый чип компании NVIDIA удался.
Проблема данного тестирования заключалась в том, что тест проходил в некоем идеализированном тестовом устройстве, без привязки к периферии конечного гаджета. Да, NVIDIA представила свою консоль Shield и планшет Vizio, которые уже находятся в разработке, однако мы пока не видели ни одного конечного устройства с Tegra 4, а значит, не можем с уверенностью подтвердить результаты бенчмарков и на реальных гаджетах.
Компания SanDisk объявила о том, что её флэш-память iNAND Extreme включена в состав референсной платформы на основе SoC NVIDIA Tegra 4. чтобы сэкономить деньги, вы можете посетить интернет магазин из китая. Данный факт может благоприятно повлиять на распространение этой быстрой флэш-памяти среди производителей планшетов (которые будут использовать Tegra 4, а возможно и среди других).

Осталось лишь дождаться первых планшетов на основе Tegra 4, чтобы проверить, последуют ли производители «пожеланиям» NVIDIA.
